Our first blog post of 2015 is dedicated to the new and improved Recollections, now called Raven. They have a bigger space and a brand new name. This store is a spectacular treasure trove of new and vintage art, artifacts, furniture, collectibles, and all things cool. Every time I walk in, I want half the store. Well, that's a lie... An Homage to Georgia O'Keeffe

We were contacted by Michael O'Brien, a photographer in Hawaii, about our blog series on O'Keeffe in Hawaii. He offered to send us some photographs of his gorgeous Lotus flowers to use. But what really piqued our interest was a new series he created... one that honors O'Keeffe's surreal landscapes of bones and skulls floating in the sky with her favorite flowers. Can you imagine what they would look like if they were real? Thank you Michael! We LOVE them!

A Story Behind Every Door

Doors are important in Northern New Mexico... and each one speaks volumes to how we live and love our life here. I have found, that although they are different and unique, they are ALL inviting. Who doesn't want to walk through a turquoise door? And find out more about the person living inside? In my own neighborhood, I always take time to stop and admire the entrances. Sometimes gates say go away. In O'Keeffe Country, they say, "Well come on, we're waiting for you to knock." Here are just a few:
